2 Shows ::: 2 Venues Matthew Koma at Hotel Cafe & Real Estate at The Troubadour

A growing trend in the ktc arsenal is going to two shows in one night in separate venues. Where it gets tricky is trying to organize it where you nail both shows without missing a sniff of either set-start-time. I like to take the “hurry up but, don’t rush me” approach. Cruising into Matthew Koma at the Hotel Cafe, we caught the “Clarity” (Yes, he wrote this for Zedd) writer performing that very song along and then ripping down his tune “Suitcase“—which may have the best vocal melody of 2013. The clock approached 10pm so we raced over to the Troubadour to catch Real Estate. After saying hello to all of our favorites over there we caught Real Estate doing what few do in LA. They grabbed the crowd from song one and everyone listened. Instead of talking! GJ RE! These nights are a blast!
Matthew Koma recently released The Cherrytree Sessions EP. You can pick that up here.
Real Estate is working on a new LP and has done a couple of tours the last few months. Stay up to date with them here.
