Can’t Miss August Concerts in Los Angeles
A ridiculous travel schedule limited my concert attendance in the month of July. One in NYC with College, Anoraak and Electric Youth was abysmal. Anoraak STOLE the show to an under-prepared soulless dj set by College. When you have proper pre-production you get performances like this, when you don’t you look like a stiff. The month thankfully will close with what is sure to be something special by Sigur Rós this afternoon in Brooklyn at Prospect Park.
The Hard Summer Festival which is being held on August 3rd and 4th will headline Miike Snow, Bloc Party, Skrillex, Nero and much much more. More information here!
If you’re more into hanging out you can see the L.A. Folk Festival at Zorthian Ranch in Altadena featuring Beachwood Sparks and He’s My Brother, She’s My Sister. Ticket information can be found here. Show is August 4th.
For the fear that I may have been wrong (and a bit of a dick), you can check the west coast version of “The Drive Tour” featuring College, Anoraak and Electric Youth at the Echoplex on August 5th. Tickets are available here.
Bear in Heaven is at the Echoplex on Tuesday the 7th.
