Best Soundtrack of 2011

This was a tough pick.  Back in November I would of unequivocally told you that the Breaking Dawn soundtrack was the best soundtrack of the year.  This album is littered with amazing tracks from Aqualung, Iron & Wine, Bruno Mars, Christina Perri, The Joy Formidable and Sleeping at Last just to name a few.

Then I listened to the movie soundtrack for the movie “Drive”.

The score was done by an amazing producer/composer named Cliff Martinez (Contagion, Traffic, Severe Clear).  Not only was the score ridiculously perfect but the music supervision was flawless. Tracks from Kavinsky, Desire and a song by College called “A Real Hero feat. Electric Youth” that was one of my top songs of the year.

The 2011 Best Soundtrack goes to “Drive”.
