My Weekend Soundtrack

The weekend has come and gone and I remember very little.  What I do know, however, is that I jammed throughout its entirety and I’m happy to share my playlist.  Let’s get this week started off right with some tracks (random, as usual) both old and new that played as the soundtrack to my weekend.

How To Destroy Angels

Trent Reznor and wife Mariqueen Maandig’s debut album, Welcome Oblivion has entered my earholes.  Super pumped to see them at Coachella next month and Trent on tour later this year with one of my childhood musical heros, Adrian Belew, in the new and modified NIN.

Disco Biscuits “The World is Spinning” (in honor of Saturday night’s outcome)…

Chvrches “Recover”

Yup, still listening to Alt-J.  Here’s “Fitzpleasure”

Toubab Krewe

One of my favorite concerts of all time was a Sector 9 show at the Congress Theater in Chicago, Toubab Krewe opened up and completely amazed me.  Since then, I have not seen the band live but their music still makes it’s way into my ever evolving playlists.  Here’s a live jam introduction to the Toubab sound..

The Glitch Mob has always been a little too…glitchy? for me.  After hearing “Animus Vox”, I now believe…that there is one Glitch Mob song I can stand.

KITTENCHLOE!!   “Japanese Eyes”

Depeche Mode “Heaven” from the upcoming Delta Machine

Phaeleh Feat. Soundmouse “Afterglow”

SBTRKT Feat. Jessie Ware “Right Thing To Do”

Crystal Castles “Empathy”

Mt. Eden and Ruby Frost “Oh That I Had”

Fever Ray “Triangle Walks”
