The 5 Best Videos of Last Week

By Aurora Cowen

Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX “Fancy”
You already know I love this Clueless throwback vid, not only because I grew up on the classic film (that partly inspired my LA move) but also because it stars two of my favorite leading ladies. Similar to Iggy’s video for “Work” (my top video of last year), the song is aight, the video is tight.

G.Love & the Special Sauce featuring Merry Clayton “One Night Romance”
G.Love brings on gospel singer Merry Clayton for a funky little jam and the video consists of clips form the studio, showing the true chemistry the two share in this musical space. The album Sugar is available April 22nd!

Owen Pallett “The Riverbed”
Wow, this story really affected me! I loved the song, too. The Canadian composer’s fourth album In Conflict is due out May 13th on Domino Records.

SZA “Babylon”
Beautifully treated music video for a gorgeous song (produced by Mac Miller and DJ Dahi). The lyrics are so intense and the slow motion concept adds to that emotional environment, especially when she slowly sinks under water. Her debut album with Top Dawg Entertainment titled Z will be released April 8th and I can’t wait to hear more, I love this chick!

Vinyl Thief “Smooth”
A week late, but well worth the wait!
