The Best Videos of Last Week (and the week before)

By Aurora Cowen

Katy B “Crying For No Reason”
The video is simple – the beautiful red head, her percussionists and an extremely talented lighting director. The song is one of my favorites from the British pop singer so far, from her upcoming album Little Red which is said to be released early this year. I’m pretty stoked to hear what else she has in store for us after this track.

Califone “Music Kills A Kiss”
Directed by frontman,Tim Rutili, the video for the Chicago experimental rock band’s latest video is slow and intriguing, all shot in one take and slowed down to match the epically slow demeanor of the song.

Disclosure featuring Sasha Keable “Voices”
Co-ed prisoners entertaining us with African dance choreography, complete with masks and war paint. The song comes from the duo’s debut album Settle [Universal Island].

Sky Ferreira and Ariel Pink “My Molly”
I continue to be fascinated by the lovely miss Ferreira. She’s a bit of a hot mess here, but in that purposeful, carefree kind of way.

Miley Cyrus “Adore You”
Well, I couldn’t resist. Once again, Miley has gone beyond what I thought she should/would do and somehow it works. Parental advisory though…

Snoop Lion featuring Collie Buddz “Smoke The Weed”
Snoopaloop and his fresh new tracks, I’m loving it! Great video depicting exactly what the song is about. I don’t need to say anything more.
